Systems For Recovery From Flash Steam

Heat recovery from the steam ( flash steam ) escaping ftom the condensate tank to the atmosphere at the steam generation plants having the condensate system that is open to atmosphere; steam produced from a steam boiler at a certain operating pressure leaves the latent heat at the place of use, condensing in the operating pressure and passes though the steam trap as condends, and comes to the condensate line connected with atmosphere (open air).

A part of the water resulting from rhe condensation due to the pressure drop evaporates again (steam) and the water-steam mixture comes out of the condensate linet o the condensation tank. As the water filis into the condensate tank, the steam escapes from the air tube of the condendsate tank and goes to the atmosphere (Fig. 1) ın the event that steam trapsa re licking, these heat loss increase.


Steam consumption in plants with capacity of 1000kg / h or larger; Heat-recovery by benefiting from flash steam escaping from condensate tank open top atmosphere, provides fuel saving of 5-15%

White steam cloud risign from the side of the boiler room in mant plants forms a sign of this phenomenon and is perceived as a natural phenomenon. Unless any precaution is taken, 10-15% of the produced steam (and hence the fuel) goes into the air

We do not feed steam to the de-aerator(it prevents steam consumption) but we feed the steam taken from the flash steam tank to de-aerator.
 

SOLUTION: ECO-FLASH STEAM UNIT (TYPE G - FC)
According to being used in the plants by being separated with flash steam unit, before flash steam-condensate water (condensing water) mixture comes to the condensate tank, steam condense water are used for rhe following processes:

  • In meeting the steam needs of the de-aerator,
  • In heating boiler feding water,
  • In the production of hot domestic water,
  • In hot water (for heating) production,
  • In hot air production (for heating or drying),
  • In heating main fuel tanks,
  • In heating the combustion air of the burner.

The period necessary to amortization the investment made from heat recovery from flash steam system is between 1.5 and 3 months depending on the capacity of the plants, the capacity of the boiler, the usage time of the boiler and the fuel used
